MICROBLADING , OMBRE & COMBINATION BROWS

What is Microblading Eyebrows?

Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) Is a relatively new method. This is considered semi-permanent, compared to the traditional hair stroke technique.

This is a manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin, this is how the desired fullness and shape is created of the eyebrows. The effects last up to 12 months after which the pigment fades leaving the skin and your natural brows exactly as they were.

At B’s Beauty and Holistic therapy, you will get a free top up after 4 - 6 weeks of having the treatment.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow colour, if your eyebrows are still present, the pigment blends perfectly with them.

The results are a natural, flawless, fully looking eyebrow. Initially the eyebrows may appear darker, but this will fade significantly over a 2 week period.

It is crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The results of microblading can last anywhere from 1 year to 3 years, depending on different factors affecting the procedure.

However a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the the shape and saturation of the pigment.

Microblading Frequently Asked Questions

Will my skin type affect the results of Microblading?

  • Skin types and external factors contribute to the length of time that the semi permanent makeup lasts.

  • Generally, darker colours remain unaffected in your skin for longer

  • Natural or light colours are often more vulnerable to the effects of the sun, swimming and breakdown by the body’s natural response.

  • Semi permanent makeup results can be unsucessful on some skin types. This includes clients with large open pores and very oily skin. In some cases, an additional 3rd top up treatment may be required.

What is Combination & Ombre Brows ?

Combination & Ombre Brows are soft shading powder brows which can be used with microblading. This technique differs as we use a machine giving you a fuller more makeup look.  This technique does tend to last longer as the whole brow is covered compared to some hair like strokes.

I suffer from Alopecia (hair loss) how natural will Microblading eyebrows look?

Those suffering from Alopecia and other hair loss problems are pleasantly surprised at how natural it looks. The Intradermal Pigmentation procedure for eyebrows can mimic the appearance of hair in the brow line.

I don’t suffer from hair loss, can I still have Microblading done?

Yes you can.

Anyone who desires more fullness of the brows will love the procedure (and the time saved not applying makeup). Those who used to apply pencil can go swimming, play sports or wipe their forehead without the embarrassment of losing part of all of their eyebrows!
